A RISKY CREDIT CARD FREEBIE?

Whilst looking for a decent freebie to rave about, I discovered a rather risky recommendation.
Credit card freebies. Now I remember when signing up for my student bank account being offered 10 free CD’s. This was a great bonus and I did get all 10 of my free CD’s so it wasn’t a lie.
One idea from a money saving expert involves signing up for a credit card that offer the same sort of offers like free CD’s, DVD’s vouchers and even flights. Then buy a pack of sweets on the credit card, claim your free gift and then pay off and cancel the card.
Sounds simple? Well the more I thought about it the more it could be a bit risky. If you have self-restraint and are not a big spender then this is a great idea. But if you like to spend and not very good at saying no, it might be easier said then done to cancel the card.
